The West Anglia Pirmary and Community Care office based within NHS Cambridgeshire provides the central point of research governance co-ordination, handling the review and approval process for the 5 primary and community care NHS Organisations in West Anglia:

Working closely in collaboration with R&D staff across the five Trusts, the service can provide the following benefits to researchers:

Early discussions with investigators to do planning and mitigation of risks
Single point of contact for research submissions
Support with IRAS submissions and general research support
Working to national target timelines for processing research projects and amendments
Helpful, friendly, informed and expert staff
Grants and contracts hosting
Signposting NIHR support
Funding research capacity in relation to NIHR bids

Our remit is to ensure that research in our Trusts is conducted according to the standards set in the Research Governance Framework for Health & Social Care. We are here to help researchers navigate research governance processes efficiently.
